What’s Happening Now…

The Sundance Film Festival 2023 in Park City, Utah started my year. I was a supporting player in the film The Accidental Getaway Driver. What an honor. I had so much fun I can’t believe I’ve never been there before. My director, Sing J. Lee, won the Best Director at Sundance this year and deserves it. I took the trip by car with my husband Mark Bryan (co-creator of THE ARTISTS WAY, Oprah’s Dream Team favorite for his books PRODIGAL FATHER and CODES OF LOVE, innovator, coach, and consultant), and our Great Pyrenees, Jackson.

The Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle has nominated Power of Sail by Paul Grellong and directed by Weyni Mengesha for Best Production, Best Ensemble, and Best Actor (Bryan Cranston). Phyllis Schuringa was also nominated for the Artios Award for Casting this powerful play. Produced by the Geffen Playhouse and Daryl Roth, I was cast and played Harvard Dean Amy Katz, and u/s Amy Brenneman last year. My congratulations to all. There is nothing like teamwork in the arts and joyful collaboration in theatre and film.

I did take a break from acting and became an award-winning children’s book author for a time. I wrote 16 books for various publishers. Why? I had been punched in the face (by accident) on stage and my jaw was dislocated while working at the Old Globe Theatre In San Diego. But when I healed and wrote my first play, I realized that acting is still my calling and I’m unwilling to leave my function unfulfilled.

Extensive Guest Star TV roles playing opposite George Clooney, Louis Gossett, Jr., film leads opposite Bradley Whitford, Stephen Lang, 5X Best Actress Theatre Nominations, Broadway and Off-Broadway credits – originated 15 roles on New York stages for Aaron Sorkin, Lanford Wilson, John Pielmeier, lifetime member of The Actors Studio and Circle Repertory Theatre, produced playwright and star of award-winning comedy, “Waiting for Grace,” worked with families under the auspices of the UN on HIV/AIDS Care and Prevention in sub-Saharan Africa. And my reels can be found at my YouTube Channel.

I am at work on my YA novel, Wild Mind, about teen suicidal ideation and I’m acting, of course.

Contact me. I’d love to hear from you.

Thank you!
