What's Happening Now?

The Rocaberti Writers’ Retreat will be held in the Castello Aragonese in Italy on the island of Ischia. I won a scholarship to join the retreat in April 2026. My mentor is Niall Johnson, acclaimed British writer and director and I’m adapting my play TRULY, TRULY into a screenplay.

And here’s an interesting bit of trivia. Ischia was where the 1999 film, THE TALENTED MR. RIPLEY, was shot. The novel was written by Patricia Highsmith, whom I played in Joanna Murray-Smith’s SWITZERLAND at the Geffen Playhouse in Los Angeles some years ago. (I wore a wig!) Plus Patricia and I share a birthday on January 19th!

I did take a break from acting and became an award-winning children’s book author for a time. I wrote 16 books for various publishers. Why? I had been punched in the face (by accident) on stage and my jaw was dislocated while working at the Old Globe Theatre In San Diego. But when I healed and wrote my first play, I realized that acting is still my calling and I’m unwilling to leave my function unfulfilled.

Extensive Guest Star TV roles playing opposite George Clooney, Louis Gossett, Jr., film leads opposite Bradley Whitford, Stephen Lang, 5X Best Actress Theatre Nominations, Broadway and Off-Broadway credits – originated 15 roles on New York stages for Aaron Sorkin, Lanford Wilson, John Pielmeier, lifetime member of The Actors Studio and Circle Repertory Theatre, produced playwright and star of award-winning comedy, “Waiting for Grace,” worked with families under the auspices of the UN on HIV/AIDS Care and Prevention in sub-Saharan Africa. And my reels can be found at my YouTube Channel.

I am at work on my YA novel, Wild Mind, about teen suicidal ideation and I’m acting, of course.

Contact me. I’d love to hear from you.

Thank you!
